2010 Audi A1
Metroproject Quattro
A concept designed to compete against vehicles such as the MINI, this car is slightly smaller than the A3 at 3.91 meters in length and 1.75 meters in height. Room for four, this car designed as a hatchback has plenty of storage room. As a hybrid, this car can run on a combination of gas and an electric motor, or one or the other, maximizing fuel efficiency, emission control and power when you need it. This type of drive train is known as the Quatro. The electric motor can drive the car through the city for 60 miles completely emission free. The TFSI motor can run at 57 mpg with emissions as low as 112g/km. The driver is able to switch between the two engines while driving, to maximize fuel economy when driving at lower speeds through the city, or to provide necessary power when driving on to a highway for example.
Engine:
1.4 TFSI – 148bhp through S-tronic clutch gearbox
Electric motor -extra 40bhp, emission free
Features:
Audi Mobile- multimedia system that quadruples as a phone, MP3, satellite navigation and a car key. The system contains slots for the on board camera to take pictures if the car is ever reported stolen.
