A1 Audi 2012 Convertible
First glance at A1 Audi 2012 will make you feel that it is a mini Cabrio A1, with its soft-top. But, Cabrio has a diminutive rear space, while A1 2012 has an additional trunk space, which offers more space than Cabrio.
Engine Specs
There are several ranges of small engines available for this particular model- A super-charged and turbocharged TSI engine with a displacement of 1.4 liters for delivering an output of 140-170HP, a 1.8 liter engine for producing 150 hp, and a 1.6 liter engine for generating 102HP using gas. Dual clutch transmission is optional in all the A1 models. The most significant feature is the automatic engine start and stop; the overall fuel economy is upgraded by 15%.
Availability
A1 is expected to be released in the European market shortly. Its debut show was held in Geneva. The sales of A1 in U.S are still uncertain. But, the target for sales have already being set and it targets 100,000-120,000 units per annum.
Pricing
A1 Audi 2012 is a convertible with Quattro mechanism offering front wheel drive. The extra weight carried by the system is reduced in this series. The cost of this model is not yet revealed, but it is sure to be priced in the rrange of $25,000 or above.
